But given Groh is trapped in a lot of grief in main au, The malfestation has a near-permanent presence on the surface layer as Groh is chased out into living in the wild by the Aval.
In place of his usual pale eyes, a small, but noticeable ring of red clings to his pupils.
While I don’t think he’d exactly be aware of it unless told (or attacked because of it enough times), I could easily see him trying to hide his face away from whoever he’s talking to even more than he may have already done.
On a side note, by the time he meets the Conduit, Groh probably could be confused for some sort of monster due to his gaunt and generally untidy appearance from having to fend for himself in the wild.
|| I also forgot to mention (partially because I haven’t decided what all demons salt would repel) that since Groh’s demon is a lesser cave demon, it doesn’t get repelled by salt, In fact it likes the taste of it.
This one’s been a long time coming (sorry), but here are some misc. notes on the demon possessing Groh’s body in orderverse.

Being a lightning rock demon, The demon can absorb lightning. However, if Groh were to get struck by lightning, the body will need to switch into the demon’s body.
Being a product of the Devil(tm), Groh cannot walk into a church or speak words of god without suffering an electric shock. This also adds a lot of danger to exorcisms, which already tread a thin line between killing both the demon and it’s host or, if the excorcism is successful, will bring out a very angry demon that can, and will kill indiscrimantly. Another effect the possession has on Groh is that holding religious things (such as the bible) causes his skin to burn.
Being a lesser demon, It’s ultimate goal is to survive. It’s first reaction to any human is fear, but if the human seems trustworthy enough, it has a personality similiar to HTTYD’s Toothless.
Once the demon starts learning how to take over, it will usually come into control during the night, finding it easier to adjust to the darkness. For the most part, it will hide using groh’s body as a way to decrease the risk of someone finding it and trying to kill it. If this is the case, Groh’s eyes will be completely white. When the demon tries to gain control, Groh will report that he’s suddenly gone blind.
As well as absorbing electricity, the stones on it’s body (horns, limbs, tail, the spines on it’s back) can also discharge electricity in order to kill it’s prey. This ability will eventually spread to Groh’s left arm as the demon gets more settled into his body.
